KRISTRÚN is an independent artist, songwriter, vocalist and producer from the south coast of Iceland. She grew up in a musical home and with a musician mom who taught her vocal technique from an early age. 

KRISTRÚN makes dark electronic music for star-crossed lovers. Equal parts ethereal and abrasive, she combines flowing melodies with explosive soundscapes.

Whilst based in Liverpool, UK, KRISTRÚN developed a passion for underground dance music and honed her futuristic sound. Sonically, she draws from elements of trip-hop, industrial, and avant-garde. KRISTRÚN has independently released four singles: UNRAVEL (2020), Calling Me Home (2021), Godless (2021) and Under My Skin (2022). 

KRISTRÚN releases her debut EP Covet on January 19th. The experimental electronic album tackles themes of heartbreak, jealousy, & loneliness. When speaking of the theme of envy, KRISTRÚN says, “It’s the ugliest and strongest feeling a person can have; it can completely change their way of thinking.”

KRISTRÚN will appeal to fans of Nine Inch Nails, FKA twigs, Portishead and the avant-garde.
